The Retreat

After many years living in India, Tobie and Charlotte are heading to the Cotswolds for a cosy, nurturing winter retreat bringing the warmth of a touch of India.

During this retreat you will have the opportunity to experience daily yoga in the morning, inspiring talks on healthy living, forest walks, an Indian Head massage, organic meals with a taste of India, Sound Baths with essential oils and meditations.  This retreat will provide you with the opportunity to pause, connect and nurture yourself. You will be served yummy organic meals created by our wonderful chef, Laura, and we believe you will leave feeling refreshed and inspired.

Shown below are prices per person in British Pounds. You will need to pay a 50% deposit and complete a booking form to secure a booking. Early bird offer (10% off) available until 9th October, 2022

Large room with ensuite £599 (GBP) per person for 2 people sharing

Small room with shared bath £399 (GBP) for per person for 2 people sharing

There is a supplement of 180 GBP for single occupancy in any room.

The Location

Brock Cottage is located in the heart of the Cotswolds, a short drive from Chipping Norton and Kingham. It is a newly renovated 7-bedroom cottage with beautiful rooms, a large kitchen and dining area, lots of places to chill out and relax as well as a wonderful yoga studio with huge windows overlooking the gardens. Brock Cottage is located on the edge of Foxholes Nature Reserve, providing a wonderful place for walks in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside.

 

The Team

 
Charlotte:

Charlotte is a Health & Wellbeing Coach, Yoga Teacher, Massage Therapist and a mother of two. She is deeply passionate about people, health, nutrition, and wellbeing.   In 2012 Charlotte studied in India at a Sivananda centre to gain her yoga teaching qualification. She has attended numerous holistic bodywork courses (from Pregnancy Massage, Deep Tissue to Chi Nei Tsang and Thai Massage), and has completed a Naturopathic Health Coaching Course with CNM.  From 2015 to 2019 she landed back in India where she taught, treated and co-managed a wellness retreat centre catering for individuals from all over the world.

Charlotte teaches pregnancy, postnatal, slow vinyasa and restorative classes. Her yoga classes are about moving slowly and creatively, exploring the power of the breath, accepting the fluctuations of emotions, and connecting to the inner wisdom of the body. She loves to use essential oils during class whenever she can!  For Charlotte wellness is about connecting to ourselves and our true natures.  By giving ourselves time and space, by creating an environment in which the body can self-heal, by being heard and empowered, self-development will happen naturally.

 
Tobie: 

From studying Psychology to becoming a builder, running a retreat centre, and then becoming a father, Tobie has enjoyed delving into the Yoga, Coaching & Bodywork worlds over the last 15 years or so.

One of his greatest passions is to work with people to help them in whatever way he can – having experienced chronic back pain from his teens and running a business to near burn-out, he is passionate about creating certain lifestyle practices that can help us lead healthier, happier and more settled lives.

He has studied many types of bodywork and pain relief techniques and undertaken numerous Yoga, Anatomy, and holistic courses. 

Whilst he enjoys deconstructing the bio-mechanical nature of our beings, his belief is the meta-physical realm is where the magic happens – there is an intimate relationship between mind and body and we can access and affect one via the other to help expand, heal, and live happily.

Laura:

Laura is passionate about creating plant-based menus using locally sourced seasonal ingredients which are nutritious, wholesome and bursting with flavour! She advocates a holistic approach to food; combining pulses, gluten free grains, legumes, fruit and vegetables which aim to keep you satiated whilst full of energy and mental clarity. She adds the magic ingredient of love into each mouthful. Laura has always held a deep belief that nutrition plays a huge role in our overall wellbeing. Her passion was ignited many years ago when she saw the quote by Hippocrates which states, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”. Wishing to combine her love for food with her new way of eating she went on to study at The College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. She interned with Jiva Healing in 2019 and graduated with a diploma as a Natual Vegan Chef in 2020.
